Bream Creek Vineyard

Bream Creek Vineyard: New-look branding, a major award from Gourmet Traveller Wine and a Best in Show accolade in the Decanter Asia Wine Awards are the latest news in the past week for Tasmanian winery Bream Creek. At the Gourmet Traveller Wine Winemaker of the Year Awards held last week, Fred Peacock was named 2018 Viticulturalist of the Year for his work on vineyards around Tasmania. Huon Hooke said of his selection for the award, "There are few stronger supporters of the Tasmanian wine industry than Fred Peacock. What he doesn’t know about growing grapes on the island is probably not worth knowing." Fred was recognised for his achievements at Bream Creek, its long-running show success, particularly for pinot noir, but also sparkling and riesling, as well as his contribution to and advocacy of the local Tasmanian industry more broadly. This comes at the same time as the Bream Creek Pinot Noir 2016 - released today - was awarded Best in Show and 97 Points at the 2018 Decanter Asia Wine Awards. - Sophie S.
